So putting this on my TBR list. My own nine year old has sensory impairement issues/ADHD. I want to read more books that have children/teens that deal with these issues in a realistic way without falling back on the usual stereotypes.

What a neat way to use an often misunderstood condition. My son is 24, and still deals with a lot of these issues. After learning how to help him, I recognized some of the same signs in myself (I still forget the polite greetings when I see people, and just launch into the “important stuff”).
